Limerick Links
My limericks are in a distinct minority -- dare I say innovative? -- by being topical and, for the most part, non-sexual.  Limerick tradition, well represented in the links below, is that limericks be salacious and often misogynistic.  I try to warn you on a link-by-link basis.

If stuff like that offends you, don't click those links.

Dr. Limerick's Blog (up-to-date commentary)

Beechers
A Beecher is something of an unholy combination of limerick, shaggy-dog joke, and Clerihew.
It has the limerick form, ends with the twisted punnery of a shaggy-dog joke, and always
involves a famous name, like a Clerihew.

The Limerick Savant
A new (Spring 2002) current-events limerick site.  Clearly second-rate, of course, although
it definitely looks much better than mine.

alt.arts.limericks
Relatively tame limericks.  F-word strictly verboten.  Innuendo OK and encouraged.
(my thanks to Google.com for mating the Usenet with the Web)

alt.jokes.limericks
Anything goes, except plagiarism and poor scan.

Azul's Illustrated Limericks
Azul's illustrations are often tasteless cartoons or nudes such as Vargas pinups.
She is the Webmaster of alt.arts.limericks as well.

Tiddy Ogg's Limerick Page
Tiddy Ogg writes epic, bawdy versions of the classics, and is a regular contributor
                                   to both alt.* .limericks pages.

Poems and Limericks of Ralph Waldo Emerson Sizer, 1878-1947
Chance find while Web surfing.  The limericks are a good way down the page.
                                   They're all wholesome.

Yahoo! Limericks Index
Let them do the work of keeping links up to date.
